I know, it's Thursday and I don't post on Thursday. However, I've something important I want to say.

This is not business as usual, y'all. The Republicans, if we do nothing, will have control of all three branches of our government at the exact moment that they have elected an uncontrollable, emotional, Fascist. I hope I don't need to highlight how dire a situation that is. That said, there is something we can do about it. Obama can appoint a judge to the vacant seat on the Supreme Court. Here's the link to the .gov site where you can sign a petition. Make your voice heard at the most important time in our country's recent history. Please. Please. Please do this. It'll take 5 seconds.

Appoint Garland Now.

We also need to be getting something going to protest tne gross voter disenfranchisement and gerry-mandering of district lines.

This election was stolen and Trump's inauguration should not go forward until these issues have been satisfactorily answered,

The election wasn't stolen. Please stop using those words. NOW. It removes all trust from democracy and above all in order for democracy to work, we must have trust.

The gerrymandering and Voting Rights Act issues are very real. However, they are LEGAL. We need to change the laws. We WILL change the laws. However, we have to have faith in our ability to do so. Protest? HELL YES. But let's not throw the entire system into the fire because of the broken parts. It's going to be hard work, but we can do this.

I happily signed the petition, but I not sure though if it will be counted, considering I live in Germany and am in fact not a American citizien. But I really hope it helps. Germany stands with you. Angela Merkel made it clear that the close relationship with the USA can only be mantained when Trump honours the liberal foundations our democraties are founded upon. I know it is not much but it is a start. Take care.
