It's 10:30am, and I've already had to let two sets of workmen into the house. I've also got a panel this evening at Wizard World Comic Con. Here's the panel information:

  • Friday, Nov. 17, 20175:30 PM - 6:15 PM location: Room 6
Become A Published Writer: From Concept To Under Contract
  • Today, there are even more ways to enter the world of books and publishing, but where should one start? Find out what really makes a page-turning story so gripping and what avenue is right for you! How do you wrangle a writing contract, snag an agent, or choose a publishing avenue? Genese Davis (The Holder's Dominion), Stina Leicht (Blackthorne) Nathan Brown (Poet and Publisher) and Don Webb (Author and Teacher) will divulge how to best navigate the often confusing waters of the writing and publishing world. Panelists will share their insider experiences for their genres including tips and tricks for creating stories that captivate!
I'm going to try hard not to read anything into the fact that whomever did the write up misspelled my name. They also didn't bother to credit me and the other female panelist with anything but the title of one of our novels and yet, the dudes get "author, teacher, publisher"-- authoritative job titles. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm totally reading into that. [cough] I won't be there all day today (see workmen in the house above) or much this weekend, but I will be there for the panel. Come. Hang out. Ask interesting questions. I'll be giving away a hard back copy of Cold Iron and Blackthorne to a lucky audience member and I'm bringing several "how to" writing/publishing guides that I plan to give to whomever wants them.
